SVmissions

It is very clear that God has called us to reach others for Christ. But, how far does God want us to go? What is our responsibility? In two passages of scripture it’s made crystal clear how far, and who’s responsibility it is to go and share.

Matthew 28:19-20 ESV

19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Acts 1:8

8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

How far? Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth
Who is supposed to go? All disciples are to share their faith as they are going and then to specific areas that have never heard

SVmissions is committed to teaching, training and leading people to go:

Here

We have many ways for individuals, families, and Small Groups to serve locally. Below are ministries that we partner with to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in Hardin County.

Near

After praying and looking for over 5yrs, God has led us to partner with Storyline Church.

Storyline Church is a new church plant in St. Louis, MO. Their purpose statement states: Storyline exists to reach people with the gospel, disciple them into a relationship with Jesus, and multiply them throughout the world.

God is leading, at this time, 21 individuals living in Louisville, KY, to move to St. Louis to plant the church. Josh and Cherish Wilson, and their 3 boys, will be the first to move in June of 2020. Josh will be the Lead Pastor of Storyline. Other families will follow during the summer and fall of 2020.

St. Louis has been identified as one of the 33 Send Cities in North America by the Send Network, part of the North American Mission Board. Severns Valley is excited to partner with the Send Network and Storyline Church to take the Gospel to St. Louis where there is a great need for evangelistic churches.

Far

In 2012, God gave us the opportunity to help establish two churches in the Western part of Nicaragua. We are working alongside two pastors: Pastor Eddy in El Platanal and Pastor Pablo in San Francisco. God has greatly blessed those two communities over the years. We have seen Him bring many people Christ,  and seen many baptized and grow in their faith.
