Dr. Curtis Woods
About Curtis
After spending 8 years in the Army Reserve with several active-duty assignments, aiding his pursuit of a college degree, Curtis followed his call to ministry serving churches in Arkansas, Texas, and Kentucky. Curtis previously served as the Associate Executive Director for the Kentucky Baptist Convention. He is a former Professor of Applied Theology and Biblical Spirituality at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY. He is also a member of the executive board of trustees for LifeWay where he serves as vice-chairman of the theology and communications committee. Curtis holds undergraduate and graduate-level degrees in social work, urban studies/pastoral leadership, American church history, and biblical spirituality.

23 years ago, Pastor Curtis married the love of his life, Tracy. Curtis and Tracy are the proud parents to 3 sons, Anthony, Timothy, and Tristan.
In his spare time, Curtis is an avid runner, basketball player, weightlifter, and martial artist. He is currently training for his second-degree black belt with his sons.
