Hello Friends,

Yesterday, November 19, Governor Andy Beshear asked citizens of the Commonwealth who are members of houses of worship to re-enter an online worship phase with hopes of curtailing the spread of COVID-19. After prayer and consultation, the Church Council affirms the statewide request as an act of neighbor-love and friendship to those in our surrounding counties.

Although we deeply regret that our in-person gathering has been forestalled, we are grateful that SV will demonstrate generosity, accountability, and friendship by this act of kindness.

We ask you to continue to pray for those in our community and church who have COVID-19. It’s alarming to continue to see more and more of our friends and neighbors struggling with this virus. We also ask you to pray for those who have lost loved ones recently. Losing a loved one is difficult in any circumstance. But, not being able to be by their side and comfort them and then grieve with family members is unimaginably difficult. If there is any way we can minister to you and your family during this time, please contact us at 270.765.7822 or info@sv.church. We are a family, and we want to take care of our family during these days.

Pastor Curtis will continue our series on “Cultivating a Culture of G.R.A.C.E.” This week we will look at what scripture has to say about Core Value #4 Community. Community means – “we will seek the best interests of God and others within our family of friends.” You won’t want to miss this timely message!

Although we can’t meet in person, we are still able to worship together as a family via Cable TV, Live Stream and Radio. To find out how, click on this link: Watch Live

We love you and pray for you daily,

Your Church Council and Staff
